Universities working in silos?

… No! Sharing knowledge cross-country, yes!

20950873-tag-re-de-livre-en-forme-de-lampe-amd-concept-de-dessinTime when universities were performing and disseminating research in restricted areas is OVER!

Adhering to University Rennes 2 ‘s initiative, a good bunch of universities and « Hochschulen » join forces to disseminate technical documentation research to Master students.

On Feb 4, 2016 European universities are video-conferencing (live) from Rennes to AngersBrest, Clermont-Ferrand, Karlsruhe, Limerick, Limoges, Oulu, Tampere, Vaasa.

Master students of these 9 universities will learn about the most recent research EU_Flagson « Procedures that work » and « State of research on procedural videos » as presented by Dr. Hans van der Meij (« European father » of minimalism)

Technical Communication is constantly on the move. Have we reached the end of paper documentation? Should it be « all videos »? Are we sure the user opens the Linusmanual? Should we design an illustration-only manual? What makes a procedure? Never heard about the 4-Component model?

These are some of the questions to be discussed in February during the video-conference 😉
